Have you downloaded either of the manuals for the 1500 available in the lefthand menu?

I am not a complete idiot -- some bits are missing not many

Been a while now since I had my 1500-6 but from memory if one of the solenoids goes duff the other stops as well. I replaced both mine on the 1500 and also my 1800.

Can't remember about a starter rely but sure there would be one but not sure of location.

Sorry i cant be any more help but memory is not my strong point.
